Prom

Probably, Prom is something I’ll never experience, my school does not allow a prom and all we have is this Graduation Ball – I’m satisfied with that. I’m not bitter about it albeit I know I’ll be missing a small part in my life but I guess it is okay.
Anyway, last Saturday there was an activity here in our country called Candy Style Awards and the attire was Prom Pretty, I wanted to come but I can’t because I don’t have a prom dress. (Lol) Since I can’t come, I just browsed for prom dresses online, I saw many sexy prom dresses and I got inspired to write this up. Sexy style is not my cup of tea but to those girls who prefer them.

Proms are usually held near the end of the school year. Junior and senior high school students are dressed formally. Boys wear tuxedos usually in black or white while girls wear beautiful gowns matched with shining jewelry and a stunning makeup.

A girl’s problem is probably a prom dress. There are a lot of different designs out there, one with a beautiful beading, and another with a really good color, a gorgeous cut or slit, and all those details. Choosing a prom dress may be stressful but if you’ll think positively, you’ll be able to find one. You can have one customized or you can just look for gowns in the mall or shop online.

1. One of the things you must consider when buying a prom dress is your budget. Scout the prices in the mall and online to get an idea on how much a dress is, compare it with each other and think if it’s worth it. Analyze the details and think if you’ll save if you’ll buy this over that. Will getting something in the mall cheaper or the price is just as the same if you’ll have one customized? Is the one online better and do you like the design? Organize your thoughts and choose the one that will apply to you. But don’t forget to stick with the budget you planned.
2. Remember that you shouldn’t spend that much to a dress and it’s not about the dress’ worth, it’s about the design and the way you accessorize and wear it. Also, you have to be smart in setting up a budget, yes, Prom can be a memorable part of your high school life but it’s not really worth to spend a thousand of dollars right? Find a dress that will suit your budget and style.

3. But it’s not all about the budget either! You have to wear something that will look flattering to your body. We all have different body types and in order to look extra gorgeous, your dress must complement your body. Do you need a dress that will accentuate your waistline, a dress that will add fullness to your body? A fitted dress to show your figure or short dresses to flaunt your legs? Know the type of the body that you have and choose a gown that will flatter your curves. Check the dress’s silhouette, design, embellishments, etc. and see if it’s perfect to your body.

4. A great hairstyle can also make a change! Do you want to go with curls and just put it down or do you want to show your beautiful necklace and put it in an elegant updo? Know what you’re wearing and that’s the time you’ll be able to pick a hairstyle. According to a beauty site, the top 10 trendiest promenade hairstyles are, The Mussy Updo, Half-up/Half-down Prom Hair, The Classic Prom Updo
Long Hair Worn Down (the Non-Updo), Braids, The Side Ponytail, Short Hair, Side Buns
The Bejeweled and Fake Bobs. There are a lot and try them out! Don’t be afraid to test them and see.
Choose something that will show the beautiful embroidery, appliqué, or beading of your dress. You don’t want your hair to cover your teardrop earrings right?

5. Speaking of teardrop earrings, don’t forget to accessorize! Accessories can create a huge impact to a dress. Balance it out properly and voila! You’ll look extra stunning.
There are many other ways to prepare for prom and I just cited some but whatever they are, just remember to enjoy! Dance your night away and make it a memorable one.
