Chronicle for Wedding Dress of Royal Brides


When the royal wedding comes, what always makes people care about is not how will the ceremony be held, but what kind of wedding dress will the royal bride be wearing. Even the famous designers also try their best one after another to design wedding dresses for the royal brides. All these founders of fashion will have a tremendous competition for this.
Now, let's take an overview at the classical royal bride dressed throughout all previous dynasties.

Princess Charlotte of Wales
Charlotte Princess of Wales was born on January 7, 1796. She is the daughter of Prince of Wales George (later George IV) and his wife Caroline. On May 2, 1816, Princess Charlotte was married to Leopold from Saxony-Cobourg-Saalfeld. It is said that her dress cost 10000 pounds at that time, which is made of silver cloth, embroidery flowers decorated with silver, shells and Brussels lace.
Princess Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise
Princess Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise is the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. On January 25, 1858, Princess Louise was married to the German emperor Frederick III. This wedding dress combines white moiré antique and great leaps of lace, and it's covered with roses, clover and caltrop. The dress has a total length of 3 meters. The tiara of Princess Louise is made of orange blossom and myrtle garland.
Madam Elizabeth Bowes Rayne
On April 26, 1923, Madam Elizabeth Bowes Rayne was married to Prince Albert in Westminster Abbey. The wedding dress is a kind of gown designed by Gabrielle Coco Chanel. And the veil is covered with white lace and was once used by Elizabeth's mother-in-law.
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor
Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926, she is the eldest daughter of King George VI, who is the fourth monarch of Windsor Dynasty. On November 20, 1947, she was married to Prince Philip.  Queen Elizabeth's wedding dress is gentle ivory color, elegant and luxury. Since it's a winter wedding, the dress is designed for long sleeve. The concise high waist, the big skirt style, the delicate manual embroidery, the decoration crystal and the tie-in 10000 pearls make the dress gorgeous and extraordinary.
Princess Diana Spencer
On July 29, 1981, Diana and Prince Charles's wedding is like a fairytale wedding. All eyes were focused on Princess Diana. This ivory silk taffeta wedding dress is designed by the Emanuel couple (David and Elizabeth Emanuel), and it’s manually embroidered with ten thousand pearls and mother pearl paillette.


Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden
On June 19, 2010, Princess Victoria and her personal trainer Daniel Westling held their wedding in Stockholm cathedral. Princess Victoria's wedding dress is the work of Swedish designer Par Engsheden. The princess chose the conservative high neckline wedding dress and only a deep V opened behind.


Maybe it is the fact that every woman has a "Queen Dream" in their heart, every change of the royal bride dress has naturally been the fashionable vane of wedding dresses. These royal brides wear a piece of wedding dress which is not only fashionable but also their preferences to attend the wedding, and this kind of ceremony has been going for centuries.
