More and more brides are purchasing for second-hand wedding dress

A survey conducted by an economic professor Robert Frank of Cornell University
asks that why brides like to spend thousands of dollars purchasing a wedding dress that they might never wear again, while the groom will choose to rent a cheap suit even though they will still wear in the future social activities. For this question, most brides reply that they hope to speak out their fashion declaration on the day they get married. According to the report, Mrs. Dao, 38 years old, bought a Janell Berte wedding dress by 3000 dollars. She remembered quiet clearly that she put the wedding dress into a box of three feet by four feet. Then she planed to sell it on Craigslis, a classified advertisements website. But what she received was the big price of 200 dollars, which make her, suspected that those buyers were cheating money.

Inspired by the experience, Mrs. Dao opened up a second-hand wedding dress trading website, Pre Owned Wedding Dresses.com. Up to now, the website helped Mrs. Dao sell her wedding dress at a price of 800 dollars. What’s more, it attracted those who wanted to sell their wedding dress. Now there are 2360 wedding dresses to be sold on the website. And its customers are those brides who want to save money.

Jana Cook, a female writer from New York sold her Vera Wang wedding dress whose prime cost was 6000 dollars at a price of 2500 dollars. She said at an interview that she planed to donate the wedding dress. But she thought why not sell it for money. Anna, a woman lawyer as well as buyer of the wedding dress who planed to get marry at the end of this year said the price was much lower than my original budget. What’s more, many choices are offered for wedding dress in the market. 
With the slowdown of economic, the wedding dress dream of bride-to-be in America was shrinking. Part of them even thinks how to sell the wedding dress when they are buying it. According to Sally, the boss of a laundry shop, few people will maintain their wedding dress now. More and more brides are thinking sell it after wash it clean.
